DOCUMENTARY

Alex and Gala are a queer couple from Russia and Ukraine. After the invasion, they crossed the frontline on foot, moved through Moldova and Spain, and are now rebuilding their life in Germany — learning the language, dealing with papers, making a home. A film about love, resilience and what makes it all possible.

SHORT-DOC

SHORT-DOC

My grandmother retired and moved to a country house, even though she had lived in Moscow all her life and was a classic city dweller. A few years ago, it was impossible to imagine her cooking anything other than canned food. Not to mention living outside the city and knitting sweaters for her grandson.

DOCUMENTARY

When my country started this crazy and aggressive war, I realised that I had to at least record what was happening – I had to film the people who were going through this ordeal. War is dividing us more and more, tearing apart normal human connections, and my film is an attempt to tell the stories of completely different people from Ukraine, Europe and Russia, to show how war has changed their lives. I wanted to bring all these different people together in my film.
